Sunset on Solar Panels

6 Steps to Going Solar

1. Assessment & Design

A PHP Solar representative will first assess the property to see if solar makes sense for the home. Shading and roof orientation may affect your ability to get solar. This is done with satellite imagery and Lidar and therefore does not require someone present at the home. Assuming your house is a good fit, a custom design will be made.

2. Site Survey

A PHP Solar technician will visit to measure, review, and finalize the solar design we initially discussed and take all necessary photos.

3. Plans & Permitting

Final plans will be made by an engineer. We will follow up if any changes need to be made to the original plans to ensure you are happy with the result. We'll also work with the county to ensure we are permitted to do work on your home.

4. Installation

Time to install! A PHP installation crew should complete the installation in a single day, you just have to be there to let us in.

None of our work is subcontracted to other companies.

5. Inspection

After installation, we will schedule a county inspector to make sure the new system is up to code.

6. Utility Connection

We'll work with your utility company on the grid connection. This may involve changing out your meter for a bi-directional meter (which can send and receive power from the grid).

And that's it! Your system is on and producing power for years to come.
